RVC Education Foundation Awards 2023 Student Scholarship

On Monday, June 12, 2023 at the South Side Senior Awards evening, the Rockville Centre Education Foundation presented a $1000 scholarship. This award goes to the senior who best demonstrates how they were enriched by an educational program sponsored by the Foundation.

This year’s recipient of the scholarship is Matthew Eckrich. In his submission, Matthew expressed how the Foundation supported program, ROBOTICS, enabled him to not only gain insight into modern technology; but, also was a unique catalyst for his social and emotional growth. Matthew’s experience is an example of how the many Education Foundation funded activities provide not only intellectual stimulation, but also promote secondary benefits.

In the fall Matthew plans to study music at SUNY Potsdam. Congratulations, Matthew!
